WEST POKOT COUNTY POLITICS

West Pokot Senator Prof John Lonyangapuo has said the Deputy President ,William Ruto, should stop misleading Rift Valley residents that, the Independence party, KANU is in the opposition.

Senator Lonyangapuo said KANU is part of the Jubilee Government and not in the opposition as claimed by the Deputy President.

“KANU is part of the Jubilee government and not the opposition as he(Ruto) told the people of Kericho. He should therefore allow the people of Kericho to elect their candidate of choice because the two top contenders are both in Jubilee coalition,” said Lonyangapuo.

He said it was unfortunate for Ruto and his allies to mislead Kenyans that voting for KANU would take the community to the opposition.

Prof Lonyangapuo also sought to dismiss claims by the Deputy President that the cockerel party was out to divide the Rift Valley.

He said the party was in the Jubilee administration to stay and called on President Uhuru Kenyatta to step in to mend cracks within the coalition.

“KANU was among other political parties that signed political agreements to form the Jubilee government and any contrary opinion is misleading,” added Lonyangapuo.

RAILA’S CASE AGAINST IEBC’S PRONOUNCIATION OF UHURU AS THE WINNER IN 4TH ELECTION

They say accepting defeat is part of winning, Raila has really tainted his public image according to some old people from my rural home. He would have retained his image on a wider scope, by this i mean, he himself said that he would respect the peoples decision while campigning and now Raila is saying he would respect the courts decision what if the ruling will not be in his favour?will he respect the court’s decision?to me No since he hasnt kept his promise to the people of Kenya of respecting their decision. it doesnt make meaning him going to court now Kenya seems satisfied to a greater extent with Uhurus declaration as the winner. No one is complaining that much.

I stand to be corrected but what I am saying is Hon. Raila should save Kenyans the tension of waiting and accept defeat on good grounds i overheard that Raila has upto date not conceded the 2007 election defeat i mean read the defeat speech now again?

yeah and the government is clever, can you believe that people with no accounts and not just accounts but accounts with KCB were asked to open accounts with KCB to get payed, those that worked with IEBC to be specific.  The government of Kenya was doing business and this is what i call creativity.

I loved the move on realising this. Doing this was one way of marketing KCB like its accounts holders increased drastically. Hail to u my dear government to some extend i called it taking advantage of us as citizens as not everybody has this knowledge but at the end i realised you were doing this to generate income for my dear beloved mother country.i dont do economics but what you did has an economic impact and that was my take.
